Technical Support Page
One of my first tasks as a production artist intern at Promega Corporation was to re-design the technical support page banner. The goal was to create a banner that was warm, friendly, and candid.
Sourcing Imagery
I started this task by sourcing an image from Adobe Stock. I filtered the results to find a customer support image and browsed through the options until I found one that felt perfect. I liked that the woman was smiling but not looking directly at the camera, as it avoided a staged appearance. Additionally, her shirt color closely matched Promega's brand color, Promega Sol.
Final
After making the necessary edits and adding a gradient for the text, the final banner was completed. Once it was routed to the site builders, the updated page was published.
Original
This was the original tech support banner, which needed updating to feature a more candid image, rather than one with direct eye contact with the viewer
Editing
The main issue with the photo I selected was the people in the background. Using Photoshop's content-aware feature, I removed the background figures. I also adjusted the image to brighten the colors and better match her shirt to Promega Sol.
